Chris is currently retired and no longer practicing. Chris Abernethy established his law office in Allison Park, Pennsylvania after graduating from Duquesne University School of Law. Through his years of experience, Chris has developed winning strategies to effectively handle all manner of estate planning and probate , real estate and business law issues.  His experience and integrity have been recognized by the independent national attorney peer review service, Martindale-Hubbell, which in 2013 granted Chris the rating of 'A-V Preeminent,' a rating held by only 5% of the nation's attorneys.

Named a Five-Star Professional Estate Planning Attorney by Pittsburgh Magazine in both 2014 and again in 2015 He has been a certified member of the AARP Legal Services Network and a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, both of which require extensive experience and strong legal skills in those areas.

After graduating from Shady Side Academy, Chris earned a B.A. from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA, and received his J.D. from the Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh, PA.  Outside of his law practice, Chris is a past-president and life-long member of the Rich-Mar Rotary Club, co-founder and past-president of the Hampton Soccer Club and former chairman of the Hampton Government Study Commission. He is married with two grown children and two grandsons. He enjoys gardening, golf and travel.
